Our hosts in Essouira
For Olivier, it all began with the wind. A keen windsurfer, he first discovered Essaouira through its ocean, reliable trade winds and the unique sense of freedom that defines Morocco’s Atlantic coast. He initially came to sail, but soon found many more reasons to stay, drawn by the town’s charm and its wonderfully relaxed way of life.
Yasmina, who is of Belgian-Moroccan heritage, rediscovered Essaouira alongside Olivier during the Covid pandemic. It was during this period that they decided to make the town their home, captivated by its year-round mild climate and, above all, by the warmth, kindness and simplicity of its people.
Over time, Essaouira became much more than a destination. It became a place where they love to live, welcome guests, develop new ideas and projects, and, quite simply, feel at home.
